January 2022

The joke for this new year: Hope that this year is not 202too! haha Definitely hope it is not another repeat of 2020!

At the beginning of the month LuLu+Roo did a photoshoot in preparation for their big name change announcement! In a couple months they will be changing the name to Little Road! Looking good Chris!

January 1st: Dad, grandma, and Grandpa took the kids sledding on the big hill! It was FREEZING outside so I chose to stay home with Jackson! The kids had a blast though! Unfortunately Chris hit his mirror on his truck while backing out of the garage! Sad day! He couldn't see because of all the heads in the way and he only has one inch to spare on each side as he backs out!

January 6th: This day was a busy day! I started on my next project on our house! This has been on my to do list for years! Finally got the mudroom functional and organized! Chris helped me make shelves, I painted, and put hooks on. ------------McKay was taking a bath and the soap started irritating his face!---------I have been exercising so hard! Today I ran a total of 3 miles on the treadmill doing one lap on at a 7 min mile pace and then one minute of abs. I repeat this until I hit 3 miles!-----------We had some warmer weather so the kids decided to help McKay learn how to ride his bike...without success!--------That night after getting kids to bed Chris had me take a bunch of product shots for House2Home!

January 15th-17th: Chris went ice fishing with Matt at Pineview Reservoir. So I decided that it would be fun to take the kids down to Meadow for the weekend and part of next week because they didn't have school! I left on Saturday and all that day was fun seeing all the teenagers. But Sunday I was feeling destroyed because Jackson didn't sleep at all that night and was still being very fussy. I also was getting tired of holding him but I felt like I couldn't ever really put him down because there was so much stuff on the floors that he kept wanting to put in his mouth. Sunday night was the same so on Monday morning I decided it was just best to go home. I felt bad because the older kids were having a blast, but I was so done

January 22nd: The kids were so exhausted and so happy to see dad!
January 24th: Jackson's 9 Month Appointment:
Weight: 20lb. 3oz. (59%) Height: 29 inch (75%) Head: 18.6 in (96%)

January 25th: Preschool is going really well for McKay! He loves it and his teacher has nothing but positive things to say about McKay! I get told all the time about how they are impressed with how smart he is!

January 28th-30th: Chris and Caden met up with Matt and his family and Chris's parents for the Burbot Bash in Flaming Gorge.  They were all so excited and have done lots of research for it! They rented a house right next to the lake so they could do late nights on the lake. But unfortunately they were disappointed to find that the lake was not frozen when they got there! Chris did catch one trout when they first got there while waiting for everyone to get ready. They ended up having to drive quite a long ways into Wyoming to find frozen lakes! Caden caught one huge rainbow all by himself! He was super excited and so was Chris! That was the highlight of the whole trip because besides that they didn't catch any others. Matt caught one burbot but nobody else caught any either! They were all pretty bummed about that! But regardless it was still fun for them to be all together and be out in nature!

January 31st: All last week I was the last to be sick so I wasn't able to do any of my exercises that I have been so diligent in doing. Today however I felt good enough to go back at it again...I did it but about died afterwards! Feels good to back in the rhythm of it all again! Also our Family Year Book for 2021 arrived today! We look forward to it every year! I am very passionate about these books!
